February 22, 1932 - April 6, 2016
Son of Ephriam and Mecy Thomas.
He was preceded by his wife Estelle "Polly" Thomas; brothers Archie, Alton, Virgil and Harold; sisters Mabel George and Ruth Little and special nephew Elton Thomas.
He was the youngest of 8 siblings. as a child he enjoyed working on the family farm. he was a graduate of Bogalusa high school.
He worked at the Bogalusa Paper Mill and retired in 1997 after 45 years. after retirement, he certainly didn't sit still. he did work all over the parish with his massey ferguson tractor. he used his tractor for more than just work. he pulled floats in the MCCA parade for 26 years. he also enjoyed pulling floats for the Fourth of July parades.

August 9, 1931 - July 22, 2005
Estelle "Poly" Thomas, age 73, died Friday in St. Tammany parish Hospital, Covington. A native and resident of Washington Parish, she was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, George E. Thomas of Bogalusa; four sons, Earl Thomas and his wife Stacy, Roger Thomas, Cary Thomas and Jeff Thomas ad his wife, Kim, al of Bogalusa; a daughter, Dana Seal and her husband, Troy Jr. of Varnado; 10 grandchildren, Haley, Kirk, Lindsey, Andy, Emily and Allie Thomas, Erika Parker and her husband Matthew, Selena, Diamond and Skyer Seal; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and two life-long friends, Mae Riley and Henrietta Lott.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers and her parents, Florence Sandifer and Elmer Morgan.
Visitation was held today from 9:30 a.m. until time for the funeral service at at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry Mizell will officiate, with interment following at the Magee Cemetery in the Springhill community.
