ELGIN OLAN THOMAS, Age 71 and a resident of Tylertown died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
He spent 22 years in the Air Force serving two tours of duty in Vietnam.
Survived by: Wife: Judy Dianne Bankston Thomas of Tylertown, 2 Daughters and son in law: Lynn Caldwell of El Dorado, AR, Cynthia "Cindy" and Wally Gahagan of Monroe, 4 Grandsons: Jeremy Caldwell, Tyler, Champy and Trevor Gahagan, 2 Great granddaughters, 7 Sisters: Elsie Monroe, Theresa Seibert, Janice Hostetler, Carolyn Groves, Elois French, Luevayon Craddock, Mary Trusty, 2 Brothers: Jewell Thomas and Dorman Thomas, Numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Edwena Crain Thomas, a daughter Windy Thomas, two sisters Jessie Richardson and Bessie Wood.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home from 5 PM until 9 PM Friday, January 23, 2009 and after 9 AM Saturday. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery.
