Magee, Richard C. "Dick"

A resident of Augusta, Ga., and a native and former longtime resident of Franklinton, he died at 4 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006, at Doctors Hospital, Augusta. He was 75 and a retired plant manager for Barbé Dairy in Westwego with many years of service. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Franklinton.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, John William and Nathalie Magee, Pearland, Texas, and Richard Andrew Magee, Baton Rouge; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Tom Jackson, Augusta; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Bessie Schumacker, Baton Rouge, and Maudine Knight, Franklinton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Richardson Magee; parents, William Eugene and Clara Bateman Magee; four sisters, Vickie Holmes, Clarice Richardson, Alyene Consterdine and Virginia Bryan; and brother, William "Bill" Magee.

Visiting at Crain Funeral Home chapel, Franklinton, on Friday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 2 p.m., officiated by his nephew, the Rev. Michael Simmons. Interment in the Ellis Cemetery .
