H. Clayton Magee, 48, a resident of Franklinton and father of Randall L. Magee, pharmacist at Thrift Drugs on Claiborne Hill here, died at his home Thursday night of last week.
He was a Franklinton native and co-owner of the Magee Furniture Store there.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the Franklinton First Baptist Church, with interment in the Ellis Cemetery.
Masonic rites were held at the grave.
Survivors are his wife, one son, one daughter, one brother and one sister

MAGEE, DORIS KINCHEN
A resident of Franklinton, she died at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at East Jefferson General Hospital, Metairie. She was 81. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School for many years. She was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. She was an active member and past president of Franklinton Garden Club. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Hallene Magee, Franklinton; Whitney Magee, Clayton Magee and Virginia Cook; a sister, Elvea Holden of Holden; and two brothers, S. D. Kinchen of Holden and Garfield "Duke" Kinchen of Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by her husband, H. Clayton Magee; parents, Garfield and Carrie Kinchen; and two brothers, Ben Kinchen and Jake Kinchen. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Religious services in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Karl Tingle and Dr. Gene Richards officiating. Burial in Ellis Cemetery .
