Husband of Romona Ruth O'Bryant Magee
His parents were Johnnie and Wonza Blair Magee.
he was preceded by a brother Lavoy Magee, his first wife Ramona “Ruth” O’Bryant Magee, a granddaughter Ashley Brumfield, nephews Jeff Magee, Heath Magee and great-nephew Mason Magee.
he was a former push-boat captain for approximately 50 years, where he navigated the Mississippi, Ohio and numerous other large rivers throughout the country. he was a longtime active member of Lawrence Creek Missionary Baptist Church. he loved his church family and enjoyed attending Sunday school and revival services at other area churches. he enjoyed deer and dove hunting and fishing. he also worked a bountiful garden each year then would provide vegetables to his friends and neighbors. he always cherished the time spent with his family and grandchildren.
