BOGALUSA T. A. Magee, 68, a resident of Bogalusa died Friday at LSU Washington-St. Tammany Regional Medical Center. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was retired from Louisiana State Police, retired from the Department of Revenue and Taxation, a veteran of the Korean War and president of the Varnado Water Board.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hartzog Magee of Bogalusa; a daughter and son-in-law, Lori Magee Argulles and Tony Arguelles of Bogalusa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Michelle Magee of Bogalusa and Ted and Janet Magee of Baton Rouge; his mother, Bonnie Hunt Magee of Franklinton; two sisters, Christine Maples of Bogalusa and Mary Dier of Franklinton; a brother, Marvin E. Magee of Franklinton; six grandchildren, Kelli Magee , Kaylan Magee, Tyler Magee all of Amite, Troy Magee, Molly Magee, both of Baton Rouge and Alex Arguelles of Bogalusa; six step-grandchildren, Michael, Joey, Brandy, Tasha, Brandon and Leah; and a step-great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death was his father, T. C. Magee.
Visitation was at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home yesterday and will continue today from 9-11 a.m. Visitation will move to First Presbyterian Church from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Phil Stagg will officiate.
Interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery with graveside military rites by American Legion Magic City Post #24.

Barbara Hartzog Magee, age 78, born on January 30, 1935, a resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, LA. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church; Town and Country Homemakers Club and The Golden Girls.
She is survived by one daughter, Lori Magee Arguelles of Bogalusa, LA; two sons, Terry (DeWanda) Magee of Bogalusa, LA and Ted (Janet) Magee of Baton Rouge, LA; one brother, Ronnie Hartzog of Lakeport, CA; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, T.A. Magee; her parents, Seymon Saxon Hartzog, Sr. and Mattie Grimsley Hartzog; a brother, Seymon Saxon Hartzog, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5:30 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. The Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jim Stayton officiating and Interment to follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
