BOGALUSA - Hester LaJune Magee, 23, a resident of the Lawrence Creek community of Washington Parish, died at 3 a.m. Saturday, April 13, in Hammond.
She was a member of the Lawrence Creek Missionary Baptist Church and was an employee of State Farm Insurance in Franklinton.
She is survived by a daughter, April Magee of Franklinton; her paternal grandfather, Mavis Magee of Franklinton; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Hester Miley of Pine; and two half-brothers, Sammy Jo Magee and William Magee of Amite.
The body lay in state at the Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton until the time for funeral services, which were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 15, in the funeral home chapel with Elders Charles Kennedy, Bobby Lowery, and
Jerry Blackwell officiating.
Interment was in the Magee Cemetery at Lawrence Creek. Pallbearers were Lanny Miley, Curtis Miley, Kenneth Miley, Marvin Magee, Joe Whaley, and Greg Jones.
