A resident of Franklinton, she died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1997, at Riverside Medical Center. She was 93 and a native of Mount Hermon. Visiting at Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton, noon until funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday. Burial in Ellis Cemetery.
Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Julian Honeycutt, Baton Rouge; a son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Kathryn Magee, Long Beach, MS; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Tate M. Magee; a grandson Wilbur Lewis Jr.; a granddaughter Gretchen M. Hogue; parents Joseph B. and Rosa Burch Alford; a sister Selma A. Alford; and three brothers, Eustus, Audel, and Boyce Alford. She was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, family prefers memorial donations be made to Franklinton First Baptist Church.
