Mary Thomas Knight, age 77, a resident of Thomas, died at 7 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4 in Good Samaritan Nursing Home. Born Nov. 12, 1929, she was the widow of Jessie Merle Knight and a member of Faith Tabernacle Church.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Jim Hamilton of Livingston, Terisa and Frank Sumrall of Montrose, Colo. and Shirley and Danny Brooks of Thomas; five sons and daughters-in-law, Norman and Cheryl Knight of Walker, La., David Knight of Covington, John Wayne Knight, Rickey and Kim Knight and Jessie Knight, all of Thomas, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Wessie Jones of Thomas, Flora May Phillips of Tylertown and Elma Rae Touchstone of Franklinton; and one brother, John Thomas of Franklinton,
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Eunice Thomas; a daughter, Mary Ann Knight; a grandson, Jeremy David Knight; and a sister, Frankie Faye Thomas.
Visitation will be at Faith Tabernacle Church after 9 a.m. today until time for the funeral service at 3 p.m. at the church. Rev. Jerry Cox and Rev. Aaron Cox will officiate, with burial following in the Thomas Cemetery.
