Husband of Faye Crain Knight
Son of Jim and Hettie Erwin Knight
Calvin A. (C.A.) Knight, age 82
And a resident of Bogalusa died at 1:30 PM Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at LSU Medical Center in Bogalusa.
He was retired from Avondale Shipyards as assistant night superintendent. He was a member of Love Missionary Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII.
Survived by: Wife: Faye Crain Knight of Bogalusa, 2 Sons and a daughter in law: Dennis and Jackie Knight of Marrero, Douglas Knight of Talisheek, 1 Daughter and son in law: Brenda K. and Randy Spitzkeit of Meridian, MS, Grandfather of Ryan, Eric, Douglas, Gala and Stacy, Numerous nieces and nephews, 3 Brothers: Wayne Knight of Ponchatoula, LeVan Knight of Bogalusa, Billy Barber of Franklinton, 2 Sisters: Joyce Magee of Franklinton, Linda Cluster of Monticello, MS
He was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Ann Knight, parents Jim and Hettie Erwin Knight, brothers Lavelle, Wilton, Leslie, Junior Daniel and Jake Knight and sisters Ozzie McKenzie and Violina Vince.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home from 5 PM until 9 PM Thursday, October 30, 2008 and after 9 AM Friday, October 31, 2008. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Eld. Glynn Erwin, Eld. Glay Galloway, Eld. Jerry Blackwell, and Eld. Lavell Knight officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery.
