Funeral services for Mr. Charles Dalton Knight will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 26, at First Baptist Church of Bunkie. Arrangements are under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home of Bunkie. Rev. Jim Lofton will be officiating. Burial will be at Ellis Cemetery in Franklinton, Louisiana

Mr. Knight, age 81, of Bunkie passed away at 5:00 am. on Monday, September 24, 2007 at his residence. He retired from Cleco in 1991 after 40 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bunkie.

He is survived by his 2nd wife, June Knight Knight, two sons, Charles Kenneth Knight and Michael Ray Knight both of Bunkie, one daughter, Pamela Louise Knight also of Bunkie, five step- children, Billy Webb of Lafayette, LA, Bruce Webb of Bunkie, Maurice Barnett of Evans Ga., Pat Johnson of Huntsville Alabama, and Russell Robert of Franklinton Louisiana, one brother, Joseph Knight of Franklinton, LA and one sister, Glenna Lusk of Baton Rouge, 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Otis and Zella Bahm Knight, his brother, Hubert Knight, and wife Oma "Pat" Knight.
Pallbearers will be Benjamin Knight, Christopher Knight, Lee Ryland, Gerald Rabalais, Bruce Webb, and Roland Laborde. Honorary pallbearer will be Rick Richard.
