KNIGHT, MILDRED H.
A resident of Baton Rouge and a former longtime resident of the Springhill community near Franklinton, she died early Saturday, May 11, 2002, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 88, a member of Springhill Baptist Church and the widow of Floyd Knight.
Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Gerrilyn and Howard Keene of Jonesboro, Ark., and Flora Gayle and Darryl Rester of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren, James William Keene of San Antonio, Keith Howard Keene of Fort Worth, Texas, Sherri Ann Baskette of Mountain Laurel, N.J., John Darryl Rester of Metairie and Jeffrey Knight Rester of Ocean Springs, Miss.; three great-grandchildren, Rudy and Beth Baskette and Jill Keene; and a sister, Ruby Dean of Ponchatoula.
Visitation at Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton, from 9 a.m. Monday until funeral service in the chapel at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Thomas L. Graves officiating. Burial in Ellis Cemetery .
