FRANKLINTON - Delos L. Knight Sr., age 81, a resident of Franklinton, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17 in St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Covington. He was a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service, a member of First Baptist Church, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Homer Magee Post of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Mercy R. Knight of Franklinton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Delos L. Jr. and Susan Knight, Tim and Christine Knight, all of Baton Rouge; a daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Harold Bagley of Gonzales; step-children, Linda and Robert Lee and Charles Bertheot, all of Marrero and Bobby and Rhonda Berthelot of Franklinton; six grandchildren, six step grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Maudine Knight of Franklinton.

Visitation was held at Crain Funeral Home on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 5 to 9 p.m. and continued after 9 a.m. today. The funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Gene Richards and the Rev. Luther Stanford officiating. Burial will follow in the Morris Cemetery.
