Mausoleum
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Nina M. Guidry, 77, who passed away January 13, 2015. Father Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Sister Doris Roy will be the lector; gift bearers will be Alicia Williamson and Leanne Guidry. Musical selections will be performed by Gregg Martinez and Stephanie Hoffpauir. Inurnment will follow the Mass in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Frederick of Youngsville and Becky (Verle) Breshears of Boise, ID; one son, Tal (Geri) Guidry of Sunset; four granddaughters, Alicia (Calvin) Williamson, Brandi Breshears, Leanne Guidry, and Madison Guidry; two grandsons, Korey (Ali) Breshears and Zachary Guidry, and one great-grandson, Carter Williamson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lena and Jules Martin, Jr.; and two brothers, Tommy and J.J. Martin.
Nina was a Lafayette native who worked at Guaranty Bank for 25 years before her retirement.
The family will receive friends and family prior to Mass from 9:00-10:00 am on Saturday morning.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana, and Camelot of Broussard, especially Dee and Andromeda.
