Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012, at a 10:30 Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Warren Guidry, 89, who died on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at his home in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, Steven D. Guidry, David J. Guidry and Mark W. Guidry all of Lafayette; one daughter-in-law, Lisa Guidry; four grandchildren, Nicole Guidry Devillier, Josie Rae' Guidry, Tara A. Guidry and Jay Paul Sancraint; and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herville and Ella Angelle Guidry of Cecilia, LA; eight sisters; and one brother.

A native of Cecilia, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette for over 70 years Mr. Guidry was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He graduated from Lafayette High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corps in WWII. He owned several businesses in Lafayette and also invested in real estate in the surrounding areas. Mr. Guidry worked for Seagrams Distillers for over 35 years until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and cherished the countless hours spent in the outdoors with his children.
