Daughter of Charlie and Dorothy Brown Bird
Darleen Barber, 68, of Franklinton, Louisian, died February 21, 2005,at her home.Visitation is 6 to 9 pm Thursday at Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton. Graveside services are 1 pm Thursday at Thomas Cemetery in the Thomas, Louisiana community.
Mrs Barber was born November 29, 1936, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was the daughter of Charlie Bird and Dorothy Brown Bird Williamson.
She was a cashier at Chevron in Franklinton and was a member of Crain's Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her former husband, Billy Burt Barber of Thomas; sons Donald and John Stroud, both of West Covina,California; daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Burton Boyd of Pricedale; grandsons and wives, Terry and Ashley Stroud of Brandon and Michael and Suanne Stroud of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; great-grandsons,Landon Collie of Franklinton and Cooper Stroud of Brandon; and great-granddaughter, Emmee Stroud of Ponchatoula.
