BOGALUSA - Eddie Corkern, 70, a resident of the Enon community, died at 6 p.m. Sunday, November 24th, at his residence. A native of Enon, he was a retired employee of International Harvester in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, and was a member of the Enon Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine Jones Corkern of Enon; a son, Don Dubard of Baton Rouge; two grandsons, Robbie Dubard and Mike Dubard, both of Baton Rouge; a brother, Doyle Corkern of Enon; and four sisters, Mrs. Exie Lea Richardson of Metairie, Mrs. Charles (Earline) Hall of Tacoma, Washington, Mrs. Henry (Eloise) Tallent of Plano, Texas, and Mrs. Marie Parker of Enon.
The body lay in state at the Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton until the time for funeral services, which were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 26th, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Don Aycock officiating.
Interment followed in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
