AMass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, December 28, 2020, in St. Genevieve Catholic Church for Lucy T. Leger, 91, who passed away on December 21, 2020. Fr. Brian Taylor, Pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, will serve as Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Mrs. Lucy, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late William Stanley Todd and the former Michael Martin. Lucy was an LPN at Lafayette General for 15 years. Upon retiring from LGMC, Lucy was an editor for Les Bon Jour at the Lafayette Council on Aging. She was always a very independent lady who loved shopping and lunch dates. Lucy was also a talented artist, especially with oil-painting and charcoal drawing. She will be dearly missed by her family who loved her very much. She is survived by her son, John M. Simpson (Katheryn); daughter-in-law, Linda M. Simpson; and numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Leger; sons, Robert, David, and Steven Simpson; and parents, W. Stanley and Michael Todd. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Monday, December 28, 2020, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Marcus Simpson, Hunter Simpson, Kevin Richard, Phillip Stagg, John Stagg, Perry Stagg and Brody Cason.
