Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette. The Rev. Bill Melancon, pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Leger was a native of Judice, where he lived most of his life. He was employed at Daley Tower of Carencro for 28 years. He enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles.

Survivors include two sons, Chad Leger of Rayne, Joel Leger and wife, April, of Duson; one daughter, Sara Leger of Rayne; three grandchildren, Ellodie Leger, Cade Broussard, Hannah Broussard; his mother, Joyce Bearb Leger of Duson; five sisters, Sharon Smith and husband, Patrick, of Carencro, Kathy Leblanc and husband, Dino, of Carencro, Charlene Broussard and husband, John Harold, of Broussard, Annette Duhon and husband, Kevin, of Rayne, Bertha Sue Chiasson of Carencro; and his former wife, Donna Matthieu of Rayne.

He was preceded in death by his father, Percy Leger.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Monday.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Smith, Jacob Broussard, Chance Duhon, Tyler Chiasson, Trey Chiasson and Cade Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be his sons, Chad Leger and Joel Leger.
