CARENCRO - Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 1:00 pm in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Bernard "B B" Williams, Sr, age 81, who passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 surrounded by his family in Scott.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette. The Rev Charland C Jordan will officiate at the services. Musical selections will be provided by Kristal J McDaniel.
Mr Williams was a native of Refugio, Texas and had been a resident of Lafayette since 1964. He was owner/operator of BB's Mobile Home Transport of Lafayette since 1972. He was a veteran of the military having served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include sons, Bernard Williams, Jr and wife Suzanne, of Scott and Jeff Williams of Baton Rouge; daughters Charla Dauphine and husband Shane of Scott, Cindy Pate and husband Dale of Lafayette and Debbie McDaniel and husband Wallace of Scott; stepson Robert Allen Kendrick of Lafayette; grandchildren, Richard Pate and wife Christie of Lafayette, Dusty Dauphine of Carencro, Tyler Williams and Garrett Williams, both of Baton Rouge, Brent Guilbeau and wife Angelle and Makayla Kendrick, all of Carencro, Scott McDaniel and wife Kristal, Grant McDaniel and wife Jamie and Brylee Williams all of Scott; eleven great grandchildren; and sisters Billie W Touchet of Lafayette and Katie Burleigh and husband, Dean, of Kerrville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by hwife of forty-six years Doris Coffey Williams; parents J K Williams and the former Olga Moore Cooper; grandchild Robert Bernard McDaniel; brother Charles Kessler Williams and sisters Charlotte W Scott and Louise W Poole.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed 11:00 am to 9:00 pm Tuesday and will continue from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Richard Pate, Dusty Dauphine, Tyler Williams, Garrett Williams, Brent Guilbeau, Scott McDaniel and Grant McDaniel. Honorary pallbearer will be Warren "PeeWee" Charlot.
Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Ave, Carencro, (337) 896-3232 is in charge of arrangements.
