Mrs Williams, the former Rhonda Marie Carmouche was a native of Lafayette and the daughter of the late Mr Emery Joseph Carmouche Sr and Georgia Carmouche. She was an employee of Lafayette General Medical Center for 23 years where she worked in the Admissions ER Department. She was last employed at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for 8 years where she resigned due to her illness. A supportive member of Miles Perret Cancer Services. Rhonda was always the life of every party. She had a bubbly personality that always made you smile. She opened her home to everyone. No one was a stranger. Rhonda enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Her favorite dance was zydeco. She could be heard shouting her favorite sayings: "I ain't never going home" & "Talk to me Na." She was a wonderful mother and grandmother to her three sons and 10 grandchildren. She will be truly missed by her children, mother, siblings, nephews, nieces, friends and all who knew her. Rhonda was married to Gaston Oneal Williams Jr for the past 12 years.
Rhonda is survived by sons Quotalon, Courtlon and Gaston Williams Ill all of Lafayette. Ten grandchildren Treshon, Quotayshia, Quotalon Jr, Quiniiya, Quolaysha, Courtlyn, Ashton, Kayden, McKenzie and Cain. Mother Georgia Carmouche of Lafayette. sisters Mable Carmouche, Debra (Stanley) Zenon, Angela Carmouche, Cynthia (Markus) Lewis all of Lafayette and Yvette Carmouche of Denton, Texas. brothers Donald (Jenny) Carmouche, Emery (Kathy) Carmouche Jr, James (Pat) Carmouche all of Lafayette. Mark Carmouche of Denton, Texas and Chad (Ayanna) Carmouche of Geismar, Louisiana. Two half brothers; Marcus (Lynn) Carmouche of Baton Rouge & Emery Campbell of Lafayette. Aunt, Grace Plumbar of Lafayette. God-children Shontay Blackwell, Arnold Wright, LaJaka Guidry & Shalanda Guidry. Along with a host of other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her father Emery Joseph Carmouche Sr, paternal grandparents John Carmouche and Adele Broussard. Her maternal grandparents Angela "Na-nan" Davis, Mable Duhon Richard and Edmond Richard. Two nephews; Emery Carmouche Ill and Joshua Augustine. 11 Uncles & 15 Aunts. Her God-mother Edna Faulk and Erica George Burke whom she helped raise.
