BOGALUSA - Mrs. Mae Carpenter Creel, 78, a resident of the Pine Highway, died at 1:05 o'clock Thursday morning, June 6th, at the Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton.

She was a member of the Poplarhead Missionary Baptist Church and was the widow of the late Wilson Creel of Franklinton.

She is survived by three sons, Harold W. Creel and Danny Creel, both of Franklinton, and Donald Ray Creel of Covington; a brother, Chester Carpenter of Franklinton; two sisters, Mrs. Perry (Ollie) Creel of Franklinton and Mrs. Ernest (Katie) McDonald of Tickfaw; a grandson, Donnie
Creel; and three granddaughters, Angel, Debbie and Dawn.

The body lay in state at the Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton until the time for funeral services, which were conducted at two o'clock Friday afternoon, June 7th, in the funeral home chapel with Elder Ted Phillips
officiating.

Interment was in the Poplarhead Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ellis Carpenter, Milford Creel, Harry McDonald, Denford Creel, Shelton Carpenter, and Terry Bryd.
