Adam Beck "Creel Dawg" "Daddy" Creel, 27, a native and lifelong resident of Zachary, passed away peacefully in the Baton Rouge General MedCity Sunday after a very courageous nine and a half year battle with brain cancer. Family members said he had a heart of gold and was a wonderful, loving, devoted husband, father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to all, adding, "He touched the lives of everyone he met. He was a carpenter by Creels' fathers trade one generation to the next, work on - all men are carpenters. He was an excellent pool player and an avid LSU fan�Geaux Tigers!"

He is survived by his devoted wife, Christy Michele Miller Creel of Zachary; three daughters, Kierstyn, age six, Raegan, age four, and Maidson Creel, age five of Zachary; two sons, Christopher Creel, age nine of Baton Rouge, and Gabriel Adam Creel, age six months of Zachary; his father, Linsey Creel of Clinton; his mother, Jan Kincade of Brookhaven, MS; a stepfather, Steve Kincade of Brookhaven; his father-in-law and fiance', Raymond Miller and April Hayes of Zachary; a brother-in-law, Jason C. Miller of Zachary; a stepbrother and sister-in-law, Chad and Michelle Kincade of Baltimore, MD; a stepsister and brother-in-law, Marti and Tate Hamilton of Wahiawa, HI; his paternal grandmother, Edith Creel of Clinton; his maternal grandmother, Kathleen Lee of Brookhaven; grandparents, Frank and Mary Ann Corbell Slaughter; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family; two nephews; one niece; special friends, Josh, David, Vonda, Alyssa, Terry, Roland, "Tar Baby" and the entire "TNT Crew".
Preceding him in death was his paternal great-grandmother, Ollie Jenkins; his paternal great-grandfather, Mylford Jenkins; his maternal grandfather, Latimore "PawPawlat" Primes; his paternal grandfather, Milfred Creel; his grandmother, Elizabeth "MeMom" Kincade; and an uncle, Bobby Primes.

Visitation will be held at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary today from 5-9 p.m. and will continue tomorrow from 8:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service, to be conducted by the Revs. Frank Easley and Bruce Broussard at 10 a.m.

There will be a gathering at Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton at 1 p.m. tomorrow for a procession to the bullock Cemetery in the Bonner Creek community for a 1:30 p.m. graveside service. Father Gene Bennett of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer of Brookhaven, Ms will conduct the service.

Family members said they wished to extend special thanks to Dr. Reuben Fabrega and staff; the staff at Baton Rouge Medical Center Radiation Oncology and fourth floor nursing staff.
