Helen M. Rice Giangrosso Taylor was born September 02, 1942 in Many, LA and lived the past year in Mooringsport, LA. She passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday January 11, 2014 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA officiated by Rev. Frederick C. Mosley. Burial will follow at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mooringsport, LA. There will be a time of visitation on Saturday from 10:30 to service time. She lived her adult life in the New Orleans area, raising her four children, Angela G. Swann (Robert), Joseph S. Giangrosso, Hal E. Giangrosso Sr. (Hiedi) and the late Angelo R. Giangrosso (Connie). Her Grandchildren are: Dean (Sta'phana), Ashley (Patrick) and Eric (Lauren) Swann, Keeley (Eric), Angelo R. Giangrosso III (Felicia), Kayci Kenny, Melanie Giangrosso and Hal Edward Giangrosso Jr. Her Great Grandchildren are: Victoria Ashley and Sean Patrick Payne, Angelo R. Giangrosso IV, Liam Miles Swann, Dean Joseph Swann Jr. and Alexus Westendorf. Her God-Child: Jennifer L. Giangrosso. She was the proud sister of: John L. Vines (Bobbie), Ernest E. Rice (Judy), Ruthie V. Martel (Florine), the late VirgieRee Niette (Lee) and Lee W. Rice (Melba). Much love for a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws and cousins. Her parents were the late Zaddie E. Martinez and Ernest E. Rice. She was married to the late Angelo R. Giangrosso Sr. (wife-in-law Jeanie) in 1958 and the late Robert L Taylor in 1980. She loved "all" and had so much love to give and share, whether a hug or a hot meal she gave it. She had many little ones she called her great grandbabies. She is now smiling and rejoicing, in a healthy mind and body with Jesus and the loved ones she so dearly missed.
