Services for Mr. John Earl Davis, 81, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel; with Pastor Wayne Clegg officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will take place Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. John Earl was born in Houston, MS on November 26, 1933. He moved to Shreveport in 1969 and opened Davis Upholstery with his brother Joe Paul. He passed away August 13, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Davis; brothers, Bobby Glenn Davis and Frankie Davis. He is survived by his wife, Arneta Davis; daughter, Debbie Crisp and husband, Chris; sons, John Glenn Davis, Kevin Davis and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Rebekkah, Jedidiah and Hannah Crisp, Matthew Dylan, Brice and Faythe Davis, Dyan, Zachary, and Joshua Davis; siblings, Charles Davis, Joe Davis, Glenda Clegg, Jackie Buskirk, Barbara Corley, Kebo Davis, Jimmy Davis, and Donald Davis. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Jedidiah Crisp, Dylan Davis, Zachary Davis, Joshua Davis, Larry Porter, Matthew Dylan Davis, Brice Davis, and Chris Crisp. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society or Huntington Foundation.
