Funeral services for Hays Colvin, age 82, of Dubach, LA., will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 9, 2012 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Dubach.. Officiating the service will be Bro. Connie Smith. Burial will be at Fellowship cemetery under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA. Visitation will be at Fellowship Baptist Church from 9:30 until 10:30 on Monday, July 9, 2012, just before the service. Mr. Colvin was born on February 4, 1930 in Dubach, LA, and passed away on July 6, 2012 in Minden, LA., following a lengthy illness. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Dubach. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wick and Eula Colvin; a son, David Hays Colvin and by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Glenda Colvin of Dubach; Children: Susan Kelley and husband Mark of Dubach, Carolyn Allgood and husband Greg of Ruston, James Colvin and wife Sharon of Dubach, and Julie Neely and husband Andy of Farmerville. Grandchildren: Ryan Roberson, Landon Hogue, Mindy Gilbert, Morgan Talbert, Garrett Jonkheer, Grant Jonkheer, Kaylin Allgood, Cameron Allgood, Katie Colvin, and Ashley Neely. Sisters: Elaine Boyd of Ruston, Patsy Larance of The Woodlands, TX. and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be William P. Bowlin, Fred Bowlin, Donald Colvin, Robert Jensen, Lane Bryant, and Grady Bagwell. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be grandsons. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church of Dubach. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Dr. John Jerius and the ICU staff at Minden Memorial Center and special caregiver Mrs. Dorothy Corbin.
