Lafayette – Funeral services will be held Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Thelma Ann Helen Menard Broussard, 65, who died Sunday, September 9, 2012 in Pearland, TX after a long illness.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Thelma Ann Helen Menard Broussard was born May 1, 1947 in Breaux Bridge, LA. was a homemaker and former employee of St. Joseph's, Houston, Texas hospital. She was a Patient Care Technician for 12 years and a Central Processor for 8 years. She graduated from Paul Breaux High School in 1964. She later married Carol Paul Brousssard in 1967 and with their union two children were born, son, Shefton Paul and daughter, Nanette Patrice Irene. She was an active member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church and served faithfully as the Mission Secretary and in the church choir until her death.
Mrs. Broussard is survived by her son, Shefton (Delicia) and daughter Nanette (Boris); grandchildren, Jasmine, Dontavion, Ciara, Deja and Addison; brothers and sisters, Mary Williams (Alex), Francis Rogers Menard, Anthony Mouton (Grace), Edward Menard, Leona Teresa Green (James), Clarence Mouton, (Batrica), and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene Menard and Whitley Menard; brothers, Joseph Mouton, Fedrick Menard and Mitchell Hypolite.
