Lafayette - A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 10 at 10:00 am at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens for Philip Louis Broussard who passed away July 4, 2018 after a brief illness. He was 70 years old. He was the son of the late John E Broussard and Leola Leblanc Broussard.
He is survived by son Christopher (Annie) Broussard; brothers John E (Gail) Broussard, Jr and Stephen P (Karolyn) Broussard; one sister, Andre (Sandy) Badeaux; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Phil graduated from Cathedral High School in 1966 and joined the US Marine Corps. He was a member of an elite unit of the 3rd Battalion 1st Marines called the "Thundering 3rd." He received several medals while serving his country in Vietnam.
