Amanda was a proud graduate of Northside High School. She was employed by Martin Mills, Midland Physical Therapy, St Christopher (SMILE), Mike Harson, District Attorney, and several other employers. Amanda was a kind, humble, non-judging person, peacemaker, with a sense of humor. She enjoyed taking care of her family, especially “her girls”. She loved listening to her radio, just like my Dad. She was a strong woman of faith who fought until the very end to win this race called life.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving daughter Angel Elaire (Lance) Landry; her pride and joy, her granddaughters Logan and Laila Landry; sister Alsiefaye Elaire Boudreaux of Lafayette, Louisiana; brother Gilbert J Elaire, Jr of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; nephew, Raynard J Boudreaux, Jr; nieces Candace Elaire, Shannon Elaire, Charisma (Chan) Nairn; brother-in-law Raynard Boudreaux, Sr; Aunts Bertha V Duhon, Mary Dorita Augustine (Aunt Do), Mable Vallier, Cecile Elaire, Mary Jean Elaire; godchildren Haley Singleton and DaMyni Michelle Bonner; best friends, Samantha (Ricky) Arceneaux, Michelle Francis, Anthony Dopsie Jr; family and friends.

She wanted me to mention Cornelius who was always there any time she called him for help. She also wanted to mention the cousins and friends that were like sisters to her Rosalin Willis, Cynthia Metz, Charlotte Norman, Ramona Dugas, Wanda Porter Johnson, Michelle Charles, Theresa Valsin Narcisse, Tiffany Plumber, Lorena Martin, Felicia Gallien, and friends Lumas Martin, J R Frank, Ray Thompson along with her previously mentioned best friends, and former husband, Donald Clay. “Thank you so much Miss Bun, the Landry and Chevalier Families, Jennifer, Jonathan, and Chanda for taking care of Angel, Lance, Logan, and Laila. Thanks for all you have done for me, I really appreciate it.”

She was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert Elaire, Sr and Lovella Vallier Elaire Dugas, Richard Dugas, maternal grandparents Rena Zeno and William Vallier; paternal grandparents Joseph and Rozina D Elaire, aunts Mary V Zeno, Ruth Jolivet, Mary E Zenon, Louella C Elaire, uncles Lawrence Elaire, Sr, Wilbert Elaire, Sr, Linus Vallier, Ernest Vallier, and Joseph Cuba Vallier.
