Carlus
November 7, 1921 - April 2, 2002
SLIDELL - Carlus Frank Breland, 80, a resident of Slidell died Tuesday at Slidell Memorial Hospital. He had a 30-year career in the U. S. Army. He was a Master Mason, a 32 Degree Scottist Rite Mason and a Shriner.
He is survived by his wife, Sybil Faye Applewhite Breland of Slidell; a daughter, Francis Dudenhefer of Orlando, FL; two sons, Carlus W. Breland of Woodbridge, VA, and Steven Breland of Waynesville, MO; a brother, William "Bill" Breland of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Bill" Breland and Mary Ruth Coon; and his sisters, Mildred Seal and Macy Wilson.
Visitation will be Sunday at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with Masonic rites at 7 p.m.
Visitation will continue Monday at 10 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Ed Jenkins will officiate. Interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery with full military graveside rites.
