October 22, 1938 - December 24, 2021
Yvonne M. Jones, 83 of Ida, LA passed away peacefully at her home on December 24, 2021. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Line Creek Baptist Church in Ida, officiated by Rev. Leymoin Wiggins. Burial will follow at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mooringsport, LA. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA.
Yvonne was born October 22, 1938 to Oda and Dona Mitchell in Robeline, LA, and lived in the Ida area for the past 18 years after moving from Blanchard. She was a member of Line Creek Baptist Church in Ida, she loved working outdoors, working in her yard and tending her flowers. She also enjoyed fishing, especially in the pond behind their house.
Preceding Yvonne in death were her parents, Oda and Dona Mitchell, her daughter Pamela Lynn Jones, her son Michael Jones, her 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Tommy Jones, her son Lee Jones of Blanchard, LA, her 3 sisters; Ruthie Mae Jones of Franklin, LA, Dianne Jones of Noble, LA, and Romona Gail Martinez of Giddings, LA, her 7 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Casey Jones, Nicholas Jones, Colby Jones, Hunter Jones, Chad Santos, and Scott Gates.
