Joy Parker, 81 of Bossier City, LA passed away November 17, 2014. She was born March 22, 1933 to Nelson Kelley Sr. and Ruth Todd Kelley. She had lived in the Vivian area for the past 20 years after moving from Bossier City. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Shreveport. She loved her grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10 am on December 26, 2014 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel those interested can contact her daughter at lgibson4444@gmail.com. Joy was preceded in death by her husband Sgt. Walter Ernest Parker who she was married to for 51 years, and her daughter Julie Ann Parker Turner. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Cynthia Parker Demler and husband Michael Sr. of Bossier City, Elizabeth Parker Gibson and husband Johnny of McLeod, TX, and, her 6 grandchildren; Derek Turner, Michael Demler Jr., Jennifer Graham, Lori Meyers, Matthew Demler and Katie Gibson, her 2 great grandchildren; Lexi Lane Graham and Tyler Cane Graham, her brother, Nelson Kelley Jr. of Cashires, N.C., and her 2 sisters, Patricia Fulco of Houston, TX and Betty Kennedy of Shreveport, LA. The family would like to thank the staff at Vivian Healthcare and doctors and nurses at North Caddo Medical Center for their care.
