Wife of C. P. Davis
June 20, 1920 - May 8, 2012
Funeral services for Mrs. India Gray Davis, age 91 of Dubach, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 11, 2012 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Dubach. Rev. Connie Smith and Rev. Charles Taylor will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.
Mrs. Davis was born June 20, 1920 in Bernice to Thomas Harvey Gray and Estelle Owen Gray. She died at her home in Dubach on May 8, 2011 after a lenghty illness. She was a homemaker and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where she loved being involved with her church activities especially her teenager’s group. In her spare time, she also enjoyed knitting and fishing.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her brother: Donald Gray and wife Jane Ann of Homer; her sister-in-law: Ruth Gray of Bernice and numerous neices and nephews and a host of friends whom she truly loved. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: C.P. “Dick” Davis; her son: Mike Davis; her brothers: Jim Gray and Paul Gray and her sister: Tommie D. Colvin.
Mrs. Davis’ nephews will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church in Dubach Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Planned memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church or to the charity of the giver’s choice.
