SHREVEPORT, LA- Graveside services for Lessie M. Smith will be held at 11:00 a. m. Thursday, February 21, 2012 at Forest Park West Cemetery. Officiating will be Elders, C.C. Morris and Truman Bradshaw. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.
Lessie was born on March 23, 1915 and passed away on February 18, 2013. She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church in McLeod, TX never missing a service until her health prevented her from attending.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Sherwood and Minnie Moffett; her first husband, Roy Carter; second husband, Ted Smith; 2 brothers and 2 sisters; She is survived by sister, Yvonne Rae; step-daughter, Mary Jane Smith Lloveros ; 3 step-grandchildren; also her nieces and nephews, whom she loved as her own children.
