Funeral services for Thelma “Mimi” Maxey Anderson, 87, will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Brother Bob Moore.
Mimi was born on September 9, 1935 in Zwolle, Louisiana to Louis and Tabitha Eason Maxey and passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022 in Shreveport.
Mimi graduated from Zwolle High School in 1953 and met and married her husband, Clyde Anderson, in Shreveport in 1954. Mimi loved children, and they all loved her. She spoiled them rotten which gave her so much joy. She treated everyone with kindness and was the best mother-in-law and Mimi anyone could have wished for.
Mimi is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde; and two siblings, Nelda Faye Maxey and R.L. Maxey. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Steve Anderson and wife, Angie, Kevin Anderson and wife, Mary; grandchildren, David Anderson, Matt Anderson, Jennifer Giddens, Kirk Anderson, Nel Anderson and Serena Jackson; sister, Ruth Seabaugh; and nieces whom she considered her daughters, Pam Facemyer and Jan Owens; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-nephews.
Honoring Mimi as pallbearers will be David Anderson, Grant Anderson, Matthew Anderson, Kirk Anderson, Jared Facemyer and Riley Facemyer.
The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
