CHURCH POINT ~ Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at a 1:00 p.m. Liturgy of the Word in Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro for Larkin Francis Thomas, age 36, who passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at his residence in Church Point.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette. Deacon David Menard of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church will officiate at the services.
Mr. Thomas was a native of Lake Charles and a resident of Church Point. He was employed with InstaCart. Larkin never met a stranger. He was a kind and generous young man who was willing to lend a hand to anyone he met. He always helped people in need, and he was never one to be selfish or self-serving. He had a way with his hands as well - he could repair anything from computers to small appliances. Larkin also loved to hunt and fish, and he enjoyed cooking the fruits of his labors. No one ever went hungry around him. He loved to share and make other others feel loved and cared for. His family will truly miss his sweet demeanor and his loving heart.
Survivors include his mother, Michele Williamson and her husband, Noel, of Lake Charles; his father, William Thomas of Church Point; and a brother, Collin Thomas of Lake Charles. He is also survived by the Shriefer, Broussard, Motlow, Fitzpatrick, and Palombo families.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and will continue from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro, 4615 North University Avenue, (337) 896-6366, is in charge of arrangements.
