Carrie Faye Bennett, 71, a resident of Bogalusa, Louisiana died 3:15 pm Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Bogalusa Medical Center. Born May 9, 1939, she was a retired beautician. She is survived by her husband, Gary Lavoy Bennett, Sr of Bogalusa; daughters Sharon Lynn Bennett of Bogalusa, Amanda (Dudley) Nielson of Franklinton, Louisiana and Heidi (Michael) Schultheis of Tylertown, Mississippi; sons Hollis Jeffery Bennett, Sr of Bogalusa and Jeffery (Danielle) Bennett, Jr of Natchitos; granddaughter, Marsha (Blake) Moran of Bogalusa; great-grandchildren Ona Scott, Alyssa Bennett, Hannah Nielson, Lauren Nielson, Lydia Bennett, Drew Moran and Emma Grace Moran; sisters Annie Bell (Relious) Miller of Franklinton, Annie Pearl Dickerson of Slidell and Ellen (Johnny) Fortner of Covington,Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Karen Lane Bennett; sons Steven Randy Bennett and Gary Lavoy Bennett, Jr; and parents, Hollis and Nancy Lee Simms.
