Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Cathedral of St John the Evangelist for Denise Mire Hebert, 58, who died on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at University Medical Center in Lafayette.

Interment will be in St John Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters Nicole Hebert, Jacqueline Hebert, Adrienne Hebert; her long-time companion, Michael Broussard; her mother Therese H. Mire; one sister Therese Johns; two brothers Lubin E "Beau" Mire, Jr and René J Mire and her sister-in-law Lisa Mire.

She was preceded in death by her father Lubin E Mire, Sr; her brother-in-law Richard Johns and one nephew Joshua Johns.

Denise Claudine Mire Hebert was a loving mother, daughter, companion, sister and friend to all who knew her. She worked as an emergency room nurse at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center for 20 years. She loved playing sports, especially basketball, and was a Little All American Basketball Player in high school. Denise received the Sacred Heart Girl Award in 1974, this was the highest honor bestowed on a graduating senior of the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau.
