A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 2:00 pm at St Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Crowley for Paul “Wade” Hebert, 86, who passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 surrounded by his family in Crowley.
Mr Hebert was a member of St Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #5499, Msgr. George Mollo 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post #15. Mr Hebert was a veteran of US Army during World War II having served with the Army of Occupation in Germany.
Father Marshall Boulet will be officiating for the funeral Mass. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Wednesday from 9 am to 1:30 pm. A rosary will be recited at 11 am Wednesday. Graveside service will be officiated by Deacon Dan Didier at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette following the funeral Mass.
He is survived by wife of 64 years, Ruth Prejean Hebert of Crowley; children Jenny Didier and husband Deacon Dan of Crowley, Brenda Banowetz of Crowley, Paul Wade Hebert, II and wife Phyllis of Houma, Timothy Hebert of Lafayette, Alex Hebert and wife Melissa of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Anne Marie Williams and husband John of Crowley; sixteen grand children; and thirty-five great-grandchildren; sisters Delores H Hebert of Lafayette, Shirley Ann Craig of Texas; brother Ray Hebert of Sugarland, Texas.
Mr Hebert is preceded by parents Joseph and Beulah Perry Hebert; sisters, Alberta Failla, Flores Doucet and Helen Meaux and brothers Joseph and Harris Hebert.
Pallbearers will be Mathew Didier, Jakob Didier, Donald John Banowetz, III, Noah Williams, Ethan Williams, Chris Landry. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Wade Hebert, III, A J Hebert, and James Hebert.
The family requests memorial contributions to St. Jude Shrine, 512 W Saratoga St, Baltimore, Maryland 21201 or the charity of your choice in Mr Hebert’s memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home, 301 North Avenue F, Crowley, LA 70526, 337-783-3313.
