Wife of James Robert Pierce
Bettie Jean Adams Pierce, 89, a resident of Bogalusa died Friday at the Rest Haven Nursing Home. She was a member of Union Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, James Robert Pierce of Bogalusa, one daughter, Kay Pierce Kelly of Bogalusa, two sons, Robert Michael "Mike" Pierce and Gregory I. "Greg" Pierce, both of Bogalusa, one brother, Conrad Adams of Baton Rouge, one sister, Shirley A. LaMarque, of Pensacola, FL, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman J. and Lena B. Adams, and one brother, Edward H. "Slick" Adams.
Visitation began yesterday in the Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home chapel and will continue today from 9 a.m. until time for the service at 3 p.m. Brothers George Moor and Nelson Bracey will conduct the service.
Interment will follow in the Ponemah Cemetery.
