BOGALUSA- Vergie McNeese, age 90, died yesterday at the Bogalusa Community Medical Center.
She was a resident of Bogalusa.
She is survived by four daughters, Vivian "Doll" O'Quinn Thomas of Bogalusa; Glenda Fay Smith of California, Katherine Cox of Slidell, and Mary Louise McNeese of Slidell; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton McNeese; two sons, Curtis David
O'Quinn and John Calvin McNeese; and her parents, Calvin and Tina Crain.
Visitation will be today from 4:30 -10 p.m. and will continue after 8 a.m. tomorrow at
Brown- McGehee Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m at the funeral home chapel with
the Rev. Rodney Graham officiating.
Interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be as follows: Perry Thomas, Eugene Nolan, Perry "Matt" Nolan,
Jeffery Sowerwine, Scott Sowerwine, Craig Fontenot, Chris Fontenot, and Robert
