1866 - September 5, 1946
Walker, La., Sept. 6 — Mrs. Harriet P. Spears, 80, died last night at 10:20 o'clock here at the home of her son, Jesse Warner. She had been ill for five days.
Mrs. Spears had resided in this community for 10 years, having come here from Hammond. She had spent her early childhood at Columbia, Miss.
Her funeral will be held at the Walker Baptist church at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. H. Wilkerson officiating. Burial will be in the Noble cemetery at Pine.
Surviving are two sons, Jesse Warner and Seymour Rodriguz of Tylertown, Miss.; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Rogers of Walker; a brother, Richard Prine of Corbin; a sister, Mrs. Becky Temple of Seminary, Miss. and eight grandchildren.
Adams funeral services is in charge of the funeral arrangements. The body is now at the Warner residence.
