Ruth Boone Carpenter, born December 15, 1923, age 84, and a long time resident of Franklinton died at 3:00 am Friday December 7, 2007 at Greenbriar Nursing Home in Slidell. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Franklinton.

Son and Daughter-in-law: Dr. Richard and Dana Carpenter of The Woodlands, TX
Grandson: Trevor Carpenter
Nieces and their Spouses: Bobbie and Gus Magee of Varnado Shirley Stocker of Varnado
Nephews: Devon and Cynthia Stillwell of Montgomery, AL
She was preceded in death by her husband Dallas W. Carpenter, sisters Ruby Robbins and Sadie Stewart, and a brother Delos Boone.
