Funeral services for Lonnie Ouchley Smith, 83, of Rocky Branch, LA, will be held at l0:00 a.m. on Saturday November 5, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Rocky Branch. Brother Brian McAllister will officiate. Interment will follow at Rocky Branch Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Mr. Smith was born on June 30, 1928 in West Monroe and passed away October 31, 2011 in West Monroe. He retired from Ford, Bacon & Davis as an electrical engineer. Mr. Smith was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Rocky Branch and served in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Lancaster Warner Smith; step-sons, H. A. "Speedy" Warner and wife, Diane, and Bill Warner and wife, Becky; grandchildren, Heather Walters and husband, Kerry; Jason Warner and wife, Ali; Marlo Iverson and husband, Brent; Roxanne Warner, and Giselle Warner; great-grandson, Bennett Walters; sister, Maurice Smith Johnston; niece, Jill Johnston McLemore; nephew, Joseph E. Johnston, III; and cousins, Lea Ouchley Frank, Eugene Ouchley, and Billy Lovett.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Hedgepeth, Joey Duhomel, Jason Warner, and Brent Iverson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Ouchley, J. C. Hunnicutt, Hugh Gamble, Herb Screibner, Joe Stidmas, and Billy Lovett.
Visitation will be held Friday November 4 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
