Husband of Virginia Baham Corkern
Sandh Lang Corkern, Age 62 and a resident of Franklinton, former resident of New Orleans and Franklin, Louisiana died Sunday, September 20, 2009 at St Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington.

Sandy was a marine advisory agent with the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service through LSU for 24 years. He served as Second Lieutenant in the US Air Force and earned a Masters of Science degree in Zoology from Southeastern Louisiana University. He was a Master Mason at Pine Lodge # 264, and a vestry member, lector and Lay Eucharistic Minister at St Matthew Episcopal Church in Bogalusa. Sandy was also a member of MAC-Motorcycle Awareness Campaign and an alumnus of Theta Xi Fraternity.

Survived by Loving wife of 41 years: Virginia "Ginger" Baham Corkern of Franklinton, 2 Daughters and a son-in-law Beth Corkern and Matthew Fontenot, Sarah Corkern all of Austin, Texas, Son Tim Corkern of Baton Rouge, Granddaughter Madelynne Fontenot, Father Daniel E Corkern of Sheridan, 3 Sisters and brothers- in-law: Dale and Phil Bowman of St Amant, Karen and Johnny Hobgood, Susan and Walter O'Bryant all of Sheridan, Brother and sister-in-law Mark and Nancy Corkern of Sheridan, He was preceded in death by his mother Masel Lang Corkern.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pine Masonic Lodge #264, c/o Brian Luper, 23271 McCain Rd; Franklinton, LA 70438.
