Mrs. John E. McBroom, 82, of Marion, La., died Tuesday in a Farmerville, La. nursing home. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Curtis Black of El Dorado, and Mrs. Earnest Mitcham of Marion; three brothers, Odell Patton of Alexandria, La., Willie Patton of Ruston, La., Raymond Patton of West Monroe, La.; five sisters, Mrs. Harriett Salley, Mrs. Elsie Tucker, both of West Monroe, Mrs. Ethel Allen; Mrs. Violett Cherry, and Mrs. Victor Tabor, all of Spearsville; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Oscar Bradford officiating. Interment will be in Nelson Cemetery, near Laran, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. (El Dorado Times - November 2, 1967)
