Mrs. Ruby Taylor, 63, of Route 2, Spearsville, La., died Wednesday in a New Orleans hospital. Born in Union County on Oct. 8, 1907, she was the daughter of Charles and Nora Peppers Hall. Survivors include her husband, Ellis Taylor, Spearsville; three sons, Jack F. Taylor and Jerry W. Taylor, both of Shreveport, La. and Bonnie Taylor, Spearsville; a daughter, Mrs. Ouida Canterberry, Spearsville; two brothers, Dallas Hall and Ralph Hall, both of El Dorado; four sisters, Mrs. A. W. Courtney, Mrs. D. D. Williams and Mrs. Amon McMan, all of El Dorado, and Mrs. W. J. Sinitere, Spearsville; and 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Antioch Church of Christ near Spearsville. Officiating will be Ralph Gage and Virgil Scott. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. The body was carried to the family home near Spearsville Thursday afternoon. (El Dorado Times - March 18, 1971)
