CLAIBORNE.
A very sad accident occurred last Friday morning in the vicinity of Aycock. Mrs. Henry Taylor had been out to milk the cows and came in very cold and went near the fire to warm. Her clothing caught fire and before it could be extingnished . She was so severely burned that she died in a few hours. Mr. Taylor, who was near the house, was summoned by the cries of his wife, and his hands were severely burned by the efforts he made to save his wife. The deceased leaves four small children. – Homer Journal (Article & info courtesy of Sylvia Ford)
