Willie W. Everett, 74, died at his home in Spearsville, La., at 3 p.m. Sunday following a lengthy illness. Mr. Everett was born May 29, 1890, in Bernice, La. He was a farmer and carpenter, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spearsville. Survivors include his widow Mrs. Rosa Reagan Everett of Spearsville; four daughters, Mrs. Hugh Barron of Spearsville, Mrs. Herman Farrar of Baton Rouge, La., Mrs. R. J. Mayfield of Arlington, Tex., Mrs. Claudis Tucker of Farmerville, La.; three sons, Melvin Everett of Farmerville, Dewey Everett of Bay Minette, Ala., and Thomas Lane Everett of Shreveport, La.; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Peppers of El Dorado, Mrs. H. G. Holloway of Spearsville, and Mrs. T. Z. Upshaw of Alexandria, La; two brothers, H. C. Everett of Spearsville, and M. M. Everett of Spearsville. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Spearsville Monday with Rev. Loy Baird officiating, assisted by Rev. B. C. Smith. Burial will follow in the Spearsville Cemetery under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Homer, La. Pallbearers will be Clyde Barron, Rudolph Barron, Ralph Bennett, Leonard Poston, and Oliver Turnage. (The El Dorado Times - August 31, 1964)
