Henry C. Everett, 71, of Spearsville, La., died Monday morning at a Bernice, La. clinic following a short illness. He was a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of Union Parish. He was a member of the Mount Union Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lillie B. Everett of Spearsville; two sons, Rev. Kenneth Everett and James F. Everett, both of El Dorado; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Upshaw of Haughton, La., and Mrs. Lillian Upshaw of Alexandria, La., and Mrs. Emma Peppers of El Dorado; nine grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mount Union Baptist Church with the Rev. B. C. Smith officiating assisted by the Rev. Forrest Post. Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of Spears Funeral Home of Farmerville, La. Deacons of the church served as pallbearers. (The El Dorado Times - November 24, 1964)
